Scented Candle FAQs
How long should I burn my candle?
For the first burn, allow your candle to melt evenly across the entire surface. This usually takes 2–3 hours and helps create an even wax memory for future burns.
For ongoing use, we recommend burning your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time.
How do I prevent tunnelling?
Tunnelling occurs when the candle is extinguished before the wax has melted evenly across the top.
To prevent tunnelling:
- Burn the candle until the wax reaches the edges on the first use.
- Avoid burning for less than one hour.
- Keep the candle away from strong drafts.
- Trim the wick before each burn.
How do I trim the wick?
Before each use, trim the wick to approximately 6 mm. A properly trimmed wick helps:
- Produce a clean flame
- Reduce smoke
- Prevent mushrooming
- Extend the life of your candle
Always remove any wick trimmings before lighting.
Diffuser FAQs
How long does it last?
Our 200ml Reed Diffuser lasts approximately 3–4 months, depending on room temperature, airflow, sunlight exposure, and the number of reeds used.
How many reeds should I use?
For a subtle fragrance: 4–5 reeds.
For a stronger scent throw: 6–8 reeds.
Flip the reeds every 1–2 weeks to refresh the fragrance. Avoid flipping over delicate furniture or fabrics.
Where should I place my diffuser?
For the best fragrance experience, place your diffuser:
- In a well-ventilated room
- Away from direct sunlight
- Away from air conditioners or heating vents
- On a stable surface
- Out of reach of children and pets
Entryways, living rooms and bathrooms are ideal locations.
